As you will see from the application areas section, we are able to write software to meet virtually any business requirement.
You may have a repetitive manual process that currently occupies resources that could be more efficiently used elsewhere. Perhaps you have an application that has already been written for you, but for which you no longer have support or the ability to have modifications or updates performed. This may be, for instance, to meet new requirements within your business or to make the application more user friendly.
We pride ourselves on developing software systems that not only make the best of the available technology and fulfil the business requirement, but are also easy to use for the people who have to operate them on a day to day basis, no matter what the complexity of the task they are performing.
Alternatively you may have an application that was written for much older computer systems and which could be improved for newer platforms to make best use of the leaps of technology that have taken place in recent years.
To help you understand the approach we follow, the development process is broken down into 4 stages:
- Information Gathering - This is where your business need is discussed. We then establish the detail of the information that will be entered into the software, the functionality it is required to carry out, and the information it is required to produce.
- Design - based on the information that has been obtained, a design is produced. This will detail the areas of the application, including screen shots of what the user will work with and the background functionality. This is the most important stage of the process, as any details that are either missed out or misunderstood can cause a lot of redevelopment at a later stage if not corrected here.
- Implementation - This is where the application is actually written, based on the design that has been agreed.
- Testing - This falls into two main areas. Firstly we thoroughly test the software ourselves to ensure it meets the design requirements. When this has been completed the software is passed to the customer for testing and sign-off. When complete, the software will have an installation routine written ready for final delivery.
Any modifications and updates are made available via the customer area of our website for immediate download.
We keep our rates competitive and whilst the cost varies depending on the complexity of the system, it is usually a cost effective solution to the clients business need.
Any software we develop will always be fully documented by means of an online context sensitive help system and optional paper based user guide. When both are produced this is done from a single-source to prevent any disparity in the information provided in the two documents. Full support is also given after delivery.
We are currently developing a system within our web site for customers to report any changes that are required, along with the current status of outstanding items.
